Black Scapular of Our Lady of Sorrows and the Crowned Christ

A solemn devotional scapular honouring Our Lady of Sorrows and Christ Crowned with Thorns, uniting the sorrow of the Blessed Virgin with the suffering of her Divine Son during His Passion.

One panel depicts Our Lady of Sorrows, whose heart remained united with Christ throughout His suffering, while the other portrays Jesus crowned with thorns, recalling the humiliation and pain He willingly endured for our redemption. The black wool, traditionally associated with mourning and sorrow, is especially fitting for contemplation of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Passion of Christ.

Together, the images encourage the wearer to accompany Jesus and Mary in their sorrows and to unite their own crosses and sufferings with the sacrifice of Christ.

Each scapular is individually handcrafted from 100% virgin wool, with the sacred images carefully sewn onto the wool panels. A discreet pocket on the reverse allows small devotional medals to be placed inside and carried with the wearer, adding a special and personal element to the scapular.
