A deeply devotional scapular honouring Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Christ Crowned with Thorns, bringing together the Carmelite tradition of the Brown Scapular with meditation upon the Passion of Our Lord.
One panel depicts Our Lady of Mount Carmel with the Child Jesus above the Holy Souls in Purgatory, recalling devotion to Our Lady, prayer for the faithful departed and trust in God’s mercy. The other portrays Christ crowned with thorns, recalling the humiliation and suffering He willingly endured for our redemption.
Together, the images encourage the wearer to remain close to Christ in His Passion, seek Our Lady’s maternal intercession and remember the Holy Souls in prayer and sacrifice.
Each scapular is individually handcrafted from 100% virgin wool, with the sacred images carefully sewn onto the wool panels. A discreet pocket on the reverse allows small devotional medals to be placed inside and carried with the wearer, adding a special and personal element to the scapular.
