A deeply devotional scapular honouring Our Lady of Sorrows and Our Lord in His Passion, bringing together the sorrow of the Blessed Virgin with the suffering of Christ.
One panel depicts Our Lady of Sorrows embracing the suffering Christ, a tender image of Mary’s profound compassion and her union with the Passion of her Divine Son. The other portrays Ecce Homo — Christ crowned with thorns and bound, recalling His humiliation and suffering before the Crucifixion and the immense love with which He endured His Passion for our redemption.
Together, the images encourage the wearer to meditate upon the Passion of Christ, remain close to His sorrowful Mother and unite their own sufferings and crosses with those of Jesus.
