Brown Scapular of Our Lord Crowned with Thorns and Saint Rita of Cascia

A deeply moving devotional scapular honouring Our Lord Crowned with Thorns and Saint Rita of Cascia, bringing together meditation upon the Passion of Christ with the example of a saint renowned for her perseverance through suffering and seemingly impossible trials.

One panel depicts Jesus crowned with thorns, recalling the humiliation and suffering He willingly endured for our redemption. The other portrays Saint Rita of Cascia, patroness of difficult and impossible causes, whose profound devotion to Christ’s Passion was reflected in the wound she bore on her forehead, traditionally associated with a thorn from His Crown.

Together, the images encourage the wearer to persevere in prayer, trust in God amid suffering and seemingly impossible circumstances, and seek Saint Rita’s intercession while remaining close to Christ in His Passion.

Each scapular is individually handcrafted from 100% virgin wool, with the sacred images carefully sewn onto the wool panels. A discreet pocket on the reverse allows small devotional medals to be placed inside and carried with the wearer, adding a special and personal element to the scapular.
