A deeply devotional scapular honouring Saint Gemma Galgani and the Holy Face of Jesus, bringing together the example of a young saint profoundly devoted to Christ’s Passion with contemplation of the suffering Face of Our Lord.
One panel depicts Saint Gemma Galgani, the Italian mystic whose life was marked by an extraordinary love for Jesus Crucified, deep prayer and a desire to unite her sufferings with His Passion. The other depicts the Holy Face of Jesus, inviting contemplation of Christ’s suffering and encouraging love, prayer and reparation for offences committed against Him.
Together, the images encourage the wearer to grow in love for Jesus Crucified, unite their own sufferings with His and seek Saint Gemma’s intercession during times of suffering, temptation and spiritual difficulty.
Each scapular is individually handcrafted from 100% virgin wool, with the sacred images carefully sewn onto the wool panels. A discreet pocket on the reverse allows small devotional medals to be placed inside and carried with the wearer, adding a special and personal element to the scapular.
