A strong, traditional rosary made with rich green wooden beads, individually knotted on durable black cord and accented with silver-tone metal beads.
The centrepiece is the Miraculous Medal of Our Lady, bearing the familiar prayer: “O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.” This devotion originates with Our Lady’s apparitions to St Catherine Labouré in Paris in 1830.
The substantial silver-tone crucifix incorporates a St Benedict Medal, bringing together the Crucifix and the ancient Benedictine devotion associated particularly with protection against evil and temptation. The reverse bears the figure of St Benedict and the traditional inscriptions of the medal, including “Crux S. Patris Benedicti” — “The Cross of our Holy Father Benedict.”
The combination of the Miraculous Medal, St Benedict Medal and Crucifix makes this a particularly meaningful rosary centred upon Our Lady’s intercession, fidelity to Christ and spiritual protection.
