Purple Floral Lace Mantilla

A richly detailed Catholic chapel veil featuring deep purple embroidery over fine black tulle, creating a striking yet reverent mantilla suitable for Mass, Eucharistic Adoration and other times of prayer.

The veil is decorated throughout with elaborate floral, scrolling and paisley-inspired lacework, with large ornamental motifs framing the face and continuing around the shoulders and back. The combination of the dark sheer tulle and vibrant purple embroidery gives the mantilla depth and definition while allowing the intricate lace pattern to remain the focus.

Purple has a particularly beautiful place within the Catholic tradition, being associated especially with penance, preparation and solemnity during the seasons of Advent and Lent. While the mantilla can of course be worn throughout the year, its rich violet colouring makes it especially fitting for these penitential seasons.

A small hair comb is discreetly sewn into the inside of the mantilla, helping to hold the veil securely in place and prevent it from slipping during Mass or prayer.
