A deeply contemplative scapular honouring the Passion of Our Lord and the sorrow of His Blessed Mother, uniting the suffering of Christ with the faithful love of Mary.
One panel depicts the Sorrowful Mother, sharing in the suffering of her Divine Son with steadfast love, while the other portrays Ecce Homo — “Behold the Man” — recalling Christ’s humiliation, wounds and willing sacrifice for mankind. The deep red wool evokes the Precious Blood of Christ poured out for our redemption and the immense love revealed through His Passion.
Together, the images invite the wearer to meditate upon the suffering of Jesus and Mary, remain close to them in times of trial and unite their own sufferings with the Passion of Christ.
Each scapular is individually handcrafted from 100% virgin wool, with the sacred images carefully sewn onto the wool panels. A discreet pocket on the reverse allows small devotional medals to be placed inside and carried with the wearer, adding a special and personal element to the scapular.
As each scapular is individually handmade, slight variations in size and finish may occur.
