A beautiful children’s Brown Scapular featuring tender images of the Child Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary as a child, created especially to introduce little ones to the Brown Scapular and encourage a life of prayer and love for Jesus and Mary from their earliest years.
One panel depicts the Child Jesus as the Good Shepherd, holding a little lamb. The image recalls Christ as the Good Shepherd who knows, loves and watches over each of His sheep. It offers children a gentle reminder that Jesus is always close to them, guiding and caring for them throughout their lives.
The other panel portrays the Blessed Virgin Mary as a young child with her hands joined in prayer. The image recalls the childhood of Our Lady and presents her as a beautiful example for children of prayer, purity, obedience and love for God. It encourages little ones to imitate Mary’s simple and trusting heart as they begin to grow in their own Catholic faith.
Together, the images of the Child Jesus and the Child Mary make this a particularly fitting first scapular, encouraging children to grow in prayer, trust, innocence and love for God under the maternal care of the Blessed Virgin.
The scapular is individually handcrafted from 100% merino wool, with the sacred images carefully sewn onto the brown wool panels. A discreet pocket is incorporated into the back of the scapular, allowing a favourite devotional medal to be placed inside and carried close to the wearer.
Each scapular comes with its own keepsake teddy bear wearing a “My First Brown Scapular” T-shirt. The teddy’s T-shirt is personalised with the child’s name, with a choice of pink or blue embroidery, creating a special keepsake made especially for them.
As each scapular is individually handmade and each teddy is personalised, slight variations in finish may occur.
